Hindustani vocal and instrumental study
You can study through the voice or through an instrument, and harmonium, flute, guitar and keyboard all work as vehicles for classical material. The grammar is shared: I teach a raga the same way in the voice and on an instrument, even though the technique differs.

Riyaz that fits a real life
Classical music rewards consistency far more than intensity, so I end every lesson with a written practice plan sized to the time you actually have. Twenty focused minutes a day will take you further than an occasional two-hour session.
Who the classes suit
Complete beginners, children from age seven, adults returning to music, and advanced students who want a more rigorous understanding of raga and tala. If you are preparing for the NTA UGC NET Music examination, my seven-volume Master Guide series supports that work as well.

Yes. Live online Indian classical classes are available worldwide through Zoom, Google Meet or WhatsApp Video. Every online plan begins with a free 15–30-minute demo class where days, timings and syllabus are agreed.
Can I learn through an instrument rather than singing?
Yes. Harmonium, flute, guitar and keyboard are all taught as vehicles for classical material. The raga grammar and rhythmic training are the same; only the technique of producing the note changes.
How long is each Indian classical lesson?
A one-to-one class runs for 45 to 60 minutes, with eight-class plans held twice a week. A written riyaz (practice) plan follows each lesson so the practice between classes is clear and manageable.
